This mystery thriller centres on a deaf woman, Jillian (Marlee Matlin), who is stalked by a relentless and corrupt police officer, searching for a valuable coin. The theft of the coin was planned by a police lieutenant (Martin Sheen) who needs the coin to fund his retirement, and unbeknown to her, she has the coin in her possession.

Trivia: Director Robert Greenwald is the director/producer of "Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism" (2004), a documentary exposing the right-wing bias of Fox News.
