Zoe Saldana and Michael Vartan star in this action drama about a young woman, motivated by the death of her parents at the hands of a drug lord during her childhood who pursues a career as an assassin in order to exact her revenge on their murderer. As a young girl in Colombia, Cataleya (Amandla Steynberg) is horrified when her father (Jesse Borrego) and mother (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) are gunned down in their home after her father betrays his employer, drug baron Don Luis Sandoval (Beto Benites). Before his demise, Cataleya's father instructs his daughter to head to the United States to her uncle, and to remember where she came from. The determined Cataleya makes her way to America, where she grows up with her uncle Emilio (Cliff Curtis), who mentors her as she becomes an expert hitwoman. Keeping her profession a secret from her artist boyfriend (Michael Vartan), Cataleya hones her craft working for her uncle as a hired gun as she prepares to carry out the ultimate murders - those of the men responsible for her parents' deaths.
