This 2008 drama is Charlie Kaufman's directorial debut focusing on an ailing theatre director (Philip Seymour Hoffman) who is struggling with his work and the women in his life, as he attempts to create a life-size replica of New York inside a warehouse as part of his new play.
He has traded in the regional theatre scene for the bright lights of Broadway. As he gathers an ensemble cast into a warehouse in Manhattan's theater district his personal life is spiralling out of control.
