Michael Richards (from TV's Seinfield) and Jeff Daniels (Dumb & Dumber) star in this 1997 romantic comedy directed by Jonathan Lynn.

When a straight-laced lawyer, Charlie is too hung-over to appear in court, his wannabe actor buddy, Richard (Richards) takes his place, leading to ruse and romance in this funny courtroom farce. Meanwhile, during this circus, Charlie is forced to communicate with Richard through a baby monitor and morse-code sounds from his car horn, and also falls in love with an attractive waitress (Charlize Theron) while engaged to the boss's daughter (Alexandra Wentworth).
