In the not-so distant future, the Earth is on the verge of total collapse. Chosen as the perfect' candidates to colonise space are the Robinson family: Professor John Robinson, his wife Maureen, their daughters - the lovely Doctor Judy Robinson and her dreamy younger sister Penny, and their genius 10-year-old son Will. Their mission: to fly a sleep spaceship to the nearest star, Alpha Centuri, and create a new home for human beings. Assigned to pilot the craft is Major Don West - cute, cocky, but ever so irresistible, especially to Judy. Sabotaging the Robinsons' mission is double crossing spy, Dr Zachary Smith, who tries to re-programme the ship's robot Robbie to destroy the family, but instead sets it off course and out of touch with civilisation. Bloody battles with giant acid-dripping moon spiders, meetings with alien lizard monkeys, and time portals that bring the family face to face with their future selves - are all in store for the Robinsons. All these adventures are just part of a mind-bending rollercoaster ride during which, lost in the darkness of space, they must come together as a family to reach Alpha Centuri before all hope for Planet Earth is gone.
