Amy Heckerling (Fast Times at Ridgemont High) directs Michelle Pfeiffer as Rosie, a 40-year-old single mother in LA, who produces a TV show, which is being sabotaged by her boss Marty (Fred Willard) and her assistant Jeannie (Sarah Alexander - The Worst Week of my Life).
Jon Lovitz stars as Nathan, Rosie's ex, who is having a baby with his much younger partner and Saoirse Ronan (Atonement) stars as her daughter Izzie, who is abandoning Barbie for a schoolboy called Dylan (Rory Copus).
Paul Rudd stars as Adam, a young actor who walks into the middle of all this chaos and promptly turns Rosie's life upside down - as if it could get any worse! But of course it does. It's a refreshing change to have a story where the older woman gets the younger man.
Support cast includes Tracy Ullman as Mother Nature, Mackenzie Crook (Gareth in The Office), Steve Pemberton (The League of Gentlemen's Tubbs) and Henry Winkler.
A bopping soundtrack includes The Cure, Insane Clown Posse and The Beach Boys.
