In his first English-language film, noted Hong Kong director Andrew Lau (Internal Affairs) directs Richard Gere as Errol Babbage, a burned-out peace officer who's being forced out of his job monitoring paroled sex offenders after 18 years.
Claire Danes stars as Allison Lowry, Babbage's protege who must learn the ropes while keeping her mentor on the right side of the law and sanity as they hunt for a missing girl who Babbage is sure was abducted by one of his paroled criminals.
